Approach
Partners engaged in the Eurotrucks project are testing ECVET by addapting the training pathways in the respective qualifications systems so as to enable recognition of periods of mobility. In this partnership the mobility becomes an integrated element of the training pathway.
The learning outcomes for certain units, defined and agreed apriori among the partners, are achieved and assessed abroad. The recognition of these units is then automatic by the partner institution.
Common units are designed only in a limited number of areas, where the mobility will take place. For the remaining elements of the qualification each qualifications system maintains its rules and practice.
Features particularly relevant to ECVET
The use of units designed specifically for the purposes of mobility is particularly interesting.
